pebbleton.com

Post by marcien »

due to my portfolio class this semester, i'm gonna have to register for my own domain name and hosting.

and for now, the domain name is: pebbleton.com

so yea, we're gonna have our own domain. i am thinking of it being a place where all of us can use to host our portfolio.

for example, i will use martia.pebbleton.com for my portfolio site. the rest of you can do something like that too.

any opinions?

meanwhile, i am still flipping out everywhere because i don't know how to html5 and make a portfolio site.

EDIT: so i've dumped up a lot of placeholder shit at http://martia.pebbleton.com/ . looks like i managed to get the domain to dns-whatever to my weebly site.

also, it makes me sad that my placeholder shit is really all i have of my artworks. my 3d stuffs are all godknowswhere.

HTML5 Styling is a tricky one to use at the moment as most of the browsers haven't really caught on or that they render stuff differently.

So you have to do duplicate coding alot: like this:

#wrapper #title {
margin: 30px 0 40px;
width:100%;
padding: 10px 20px;
color: #fffff;
font-size: 30px;
font-weight: regular;
font-family: {font:Title};
-moz-text-shadow: 2px 2px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.5);
-webkit-text-shadow: 2px 2px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.5);
-o-text-shadow: 2px 2px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.5);
text-shadow: 2px 2px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.5);
-moz-border-radius: 8px;
-webkit-border-radius: 8px;
-o-border-radius: 8px;
-ms-border-radius: 8px;

Red are available in HTML5.

The cool thing about HTML5 is that you can do stuff without the excessive use of Javascript or Flash. :3
